- Context: In the Forbes article, Beck insists that he is not political but that money is his main motive. The article goes on to detail Beck’s wealth, which is in the tens of millions. The bulk of his fortune comes from his book sales, website, radio program, live appearances, and his show on Fox News (which ended in June 2011). He has been criticized for his conspiracy theories and many have accused him of using incendiary rhetoric in order to increase his fan base, which translates into book sales, listeners, ticket sales, and website membership fees, among other things.
