Hermain Cain, former Republican candidate for President, made an appearance on the Neal Boortz radio show where he was asked by a caller whether it was wrong to hope “that gas would hit $4 so people would realize that we need a Republican in the presidency.” Regardless of the fact that presidents have no control over the price of gasoline to begin with, Hermain Cain responded by saying that it was not wrong to hope for higher gas prices.
“That’s not wrong at all. If it hits $4 a gallon nationally, that would be a huge wake up call for a lot of people who, quite frankly, aren’t paying attention. And the other reason that I would agree with you that it was not wrong in order to wake people up in that manner because sometimes you don’t wake them up until it hits their checkbook.”
He also went onto suggest that there was a world wide conspiracy involving oil producing nations to keep gas prices low so that Obama would win re-election and therefore perpetuate “chaos” globally.
